In the un-dated video, which was posted to YouTube on October 31 by "Outsiders Films", Head Hunters MC members are pictured outside their headquarters in Henderson, as well as riding in large groups along Auckland motorways.
Some of the shots show gang members performing burnouts on their bikes and pulling wheelies at high speed through tunnels, while others feature the children of members pulling gang signs enthusiastically. It has amassed more than 24, views in a week. A spokesperson for Kings told 1 NEWS his music had been used without permission, and said they will be looking into it.
Canterbury University criminologist Dr Greg Newbold said the video is likely to have been produced either with the consent of the gang, or even commissioned by them with the purpose of attracting new members.
I don't think they'll like that stuff much, but if you want to recruit young people you have to play the type of music they like," Dr Newbold said.
Dr Newbold said it shows how gangs are becoming modernised and using new technology to assist them in finding members and marketing themselves. The children featured in the video could be a deliberate move, he said, to show people that entrance to the gang is all-inclusive. Dr Newbold said it's likely police will closely examine the video, and any other gang-related content, for information on the club and its membership. A police spokesperson said they are aware of the video and encouraged members of the public to report any dangerous or reckless driving behaviour they see.
Police arrested eight members of the Head Hunters on methamphetamine charges in December last year as part of Operation Boeing, and have actively investigated gang members for a variety of other charges.

The claims come after a police investigation was launched into the suspicious death of Mitchell Paterson whose body was found at the falls last week. The year-old Ngaruawahia local's Facebook page showed links to several gangs, including a video of the Greazy Dogs. We didn't even know the guy.
Mitchell is one of three Waikato men to have died in suspicious circumstances in the past two weeks. Speaking at press conference at Hamilton police station yesterday, Detective Inspector Graham Pitkethley said there were significant criminal gang links across all three homicides. In the Nelson case, two other people were shot - a year-old man was in a stable but critical condition in Waikato Hospital and year-old woman, Mr Nelson's girlfriend, had since been discharged.
Police refused to say if another man, who was believed to have gang connections and who was in the house at the time of the shooting, was the actual target.
He was not injured in the shooting. They said a fire at the house a few days after the shooting, which caused considerable damage, appeared to have been deliberately lit. Detective Inspector Graham Pitkethely said the public in the Waikato region have nothing to fear. Hamilton City councillor James Casson, who is also a former policeman, said the three homicides in the region had created tension between gang members.
The gangs commonly seen in the area included Black Power, Mongrel Mob, Bandidos, Comanchero, and other prominent gangs from Australia, he said. They are joining up with gangs again here and they just bring a harder edge," Mr Casson said.
Greazy Dogs discredit links to Tauranga man in homicide investigation
While police urged the public not to worry, Mr Casson said there was unease over innocent bystanders potentially getting caught up. Police said not to worry, because they target each other, which is true because they target each other. The problem with that is innocent good people can get caught up in a bad situation - being in the wrong place at the wrong time.
The Waikato region has been hit with three homicides in as many weeks, police say the public has nothing to fear. Three homicide investigations are underway and police say their enquiries indicate the deaths are linked to local gangs.
